Statement of Faith

At ICA, our Statement of Faith is the foundation that unites our administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families. These shared biblical beliefs shape our mission, guide our decisions, and inspire us as we partner together to nurture students spiritually, academically, and personally. We desire to create a Christ-centered academic community where truth is lived out with grace, love, and compassion.

We believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is the foundation for truth, faith, and daily living (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16).

  • There is one true God, eternally existing in 3 persons¾Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; John 10:30; Matthew 28:19).

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His promise return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9, 4:15, 7:26; John 2:11, 10:33, 11:25; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; Mark 16:19; Matthew 1:23; Revelation 19:11).

  • Salvation is a gift of God’s grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Because everyone has sinned and is separated from God, we believe that salvation comes only from God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, we are made new, forgiven, and restored to a personal relationship with God, empowered to live a life that honors Him (Ephesians 2:8–10; John 3:16–19, 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8–9; Titus 3:5).

  • There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost¾those who have trusted Jesus to eternal life, and those who have rejected Jesus to eternal judgment (John 5:28–29).

  • All believers are united in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Galatians 3:26–28; Romans 8:9).

  • The Holy Spirit lives within every believer, empowering us to grow in faith, pursue holiness, and live lives that honor God (1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18; Romans 8:13–14).

  • Marriage is God’s design, established as a covenant union between one biological man and one biological woman. We believe God intends sexual intimacy to be experienced only within the covenant of biblical marriage (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2–5; Genesis 2:18–25; Hebrews 13:4).

  • Every person is wonderfully created by God as either male or female according to His divine design. These two distinct yet complementary genders reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26–27).

  • God is the creator of all things. The Genesis account of creation describes 6 literal days, and humanity was created directly by God rather than through evolution (Colossians 1:16–17; Genesis 1 and 2; John 1:3).

Our Statement of Faith is more than a list of beliefs—it is the heartbeat of our school. God's Word is our source of truth, the lens through which we teach, and the firm foundation upon which we build every aspect of our educational community.

The Ignite Christian Academy Board is entrusted with the responsibility of interpreting and applying Scripture as it relates to the school's doctrine, policies, practices, and spiritual direction. Guided by biblical truth and led by a desire to honor Christ, we seek to cultivate a school culture where grace and truth walk hand in hand, where wisdom is pursued, and where every student is known, encouraged, challenged, and equipped to fulfill God's purpose for their life.

Together, as an academic community of faith, we are committed to igniting hearts for Christ, pursuing excellence in education, and preparing the next generation to impact the world for His glory.
